Issue 3
NOTES FROM THE EDITORS
Dear Reader,
Between the dizzying lights and clamor of cities, we traverse through weights of expectations until the light in our eyes begins to dim. Concealing thoughts and passions behind shadows and facades, our minds desperately seek for outlets into the river of expression and authenticity.
Reverie prompts small moments of introspection—fleeting but powerful enough to transport us away from this bustling world. Sometimes, we can pause and wander inside our own souls, letting imagination and free thoughts unlock new horizons of insights—restoring our strength, courage, and innate creativity.
Issue 3 contains nineteen pieces from eight countries, each embodying a distinct perspective and experience. Some whisper nostalgia, remembering the past and what we have left behind, as HMH decides: “The halls - would soon be just an echo / Of what had once been.” While others chase unrestrained passion: “If passion must burn, if beauty must cry, / Then let me choke in the ocean of why,” as nefelibata exclaims. These fascinating pieces remind us to pursue, to express, to break free…They paint reverie as a profound, creative mix of discovery, recollection, passion, and imagination, inviting metamorphosis and self-reconciliation.
“Now, two half-circles combine whole. / The circle’s nature, / Forever here and forever there,” reflects T.U. Patir. Step into issue 3 with us, and perhaps you will find answers embedded within these lines. If you ever feel lost, hold onto these reveries through the darkest of nights, until dawn comes again.
With love,
