• Winning and selected entries will be published in a special anthology jointly presented by Eterna Journal and Apparna Hsna Magazine. 

• First-, second-, and third-place winners will be notified by email and announced on our websites and social media. They will also each receive a surprise cash prize and will be featured in the next official issue of both Eterna Journal and Apparna Hsna Magazine. 

International Poetry Contest Guidelines

Submit your poetry (4 maximum) through this SUBMISSION FORM:

If you cannot access the submission form, please email your submission to us at both eternajournal@gmail.com and chawanandinimeghana@gmail.com.

In the email title, please format the header as:  “Contest Submission-[Piece Title]-[Your Name]” and attach your submission(s) following the submission guidelines below. 

Deadlines: 

• The contest will open on August 11, 2026. The submission deadline will be announced at a later date.

Submission Guidelines: 

• The competition is open to writers worldwide. Writers of all ages are welcome to submit their work to the competition. Only submissions received by the deadline will be considered. 

• A submission fee is required for each entry. 

• There is no required theme for this contest. We welcome poems on any subject, style, or perspective. 

• There are no word limits. Each participant may submit up to four poems.

• Your work must be original—no plagiarism or AI generated work. 

• Submissions containing hateful or discriminatory language will not be considered eligible for judging. 

• Simultaneous submissions are permitted. If a simultaneously submitted poem is accepted elsewhere before contest results are announced, please notify us immediately so it can be withdrawn from consideration.

• Authors retain copyright to their work. By entering, authors grant Eterna Journal and Apparna Hsna Magazine First Publication Rights for winning and selected entries. Rights revert to the author immediately following publication.

Submission: 

• Please submit your poem(s) as a Word document, Google Doc, or PDF format using a readable font.

• To ensure anonymous judging, please do not include your name or any identifying information in the file name or within the submitted document. Instead, name your file using the poem title. 

• Multiple poems may be submitted in a single document or as separate files.

  2 poems : $2.00 or ₹179

  3 poems : $3.00 or ₹249

  4 poems : $4.00 or ₹309

• For submissions through our Google Form, we will ask for a screenshot of payment after you upload your work. 

• For email submissions, please attach a separate screenshot or image of your payment confirmation along with your poem files. 

• Your submission will be considered complete only after your payment has been successfully verified. 

• All submission fees are non-refundable and help support the administration of the contest, prizes, and publication. 

Selection Process: 

First Round:

• Entries will undergo an initial screening by the Eterna Journal and Apparna Hsna Magazine editing teams to ensure they meet the submission guidelines and contest requirements.

• Eligible poems will be featured in the official contest anthology for publication and also advance to the final round.

Final Round:

• Finalists will be reviewed by the Eterna Journal and Apparna Hsna Magazine editing teams. 

• Winners will be selected based on originality, creativity, technical quality, language, and emotional impact
