A House Full of Rules
In our house there are rules,
Some big and some small.
They help us stay safe,
And get along with all.
No running in the hall,
No shouting, no fuss.
Be kind with your words,
And treat others with trust.
Do your work, then have fun,
Help out, don’t delay.
Keep it tidy, clean and neat,
Every single day.
Ask before you go,
Say please and thank you.
Listen when others speak,
These rules help us, too.
Rules are not to spoil our joy,
They show us what is right.
Together we can make our house
A happy, loving place to live
Each day and every night.
Diary of a Silent Daughter
I have a thousand things to say,
But silence feels safer every day.
Words gathered in my chest,
Unspoken, yet hard to rest.
I smile so they won’t worry,
I nod so they won’t hurry.
They see the calm, not the chaos inside,
The battles I fight, the tears I hide.
I’m the one who listens,
The one who understands,
But when I need a shoulder,
I hold my own hands.
I dream of being heard,
Of a love that doesn’t need me to be strong.
Of a place where I can speak freely,
Without feeling like I don’t belong.
This is my diary,
The only place I’m truly me.
I silent daughter on the outside,
But inside, I am still becoming free.
