A PLANET SUITE
Does anyone deserve to be blessed
Who, with the galaxy, are obsessed
Only those ready, unlike all the rest
Somehow allowed a glimpse beyond
And in awe, ever ready to respond
As one hears a Heavenly choir sing
Perhaps Holtz’ Neptune says it best
One is transported, being impressed
Into the void, I would have guessed
Detached from reality’s loose bond
Finally given permission to abscond
With all of the freedom it can bring
To witness it, at the galaxy’s behest
As if with status of a privileged guest
And embark on a never ending quest
Stars, glittering bright like a diamond
Cast there by a wave of a magic wand
Looking static, but much is happening
LARK ASCENDING
I sense being carried up high by rising air
And looking down, see it all down there
A world that soon I am leaving behind
As I float on the gentle summer breezes
Wind under my wings, allowing me to fly
To glide and swoop, freedom at its best
But to the land below, I do still owe much
Where in a nest, I was raised in the Spring
Now summer turns into autumn, I must go
Yet before I do, I will view this once more
But with gratitude and love, I shall return
Call it migration
On a long Southbound journey
But here I belong
